Dortmund willing to listen to Sancho offers as early as January – amid Man United interest: report

Manchester United’s interest in Jadon Sancho has been well-documented. I’ve lost count of how many stories we’ve covered in regards to the super-talented Englishman potentially heading to Old Trafford.

Earlier in the month, we wrote an article from Goal, who claimed that the Reds were ready to spend big on both Sancho and Erling Braut Haaland in the mid-season window.

Today, it certainly feels as though United have been handed a boost in that regard. The story comes from The Independent, who says that Borussia Dortmund are willing to listen to offers for their 19-year-old star as early as January…

Why, you ask? Well apparently, Sancho and Dortmund have had a breakdown in relationships due to various disciplinary issues. Apparently, the teenager was late for a team meeting before Wednesday’s 3-1 loss to FC Barcelona, and Dortmund are considering another hefty fine.

The Independent add that England’s ‘top clubs’ are ‘closely monitoring’ his situation at Dortmund, though United aren’t directly named. Later on in the story, it is claimed that the Red Devils have been met with a ‘flat no’ whenever they’ve enquired about Sancho. Perhaps that will all change after this latest development?

Sancho is a quality player. The young man was absolutely outstanding last term for BVB and he’d be a simply stunning addition to this United squad. However, you have to be somewhat worried about his attitude. If he’s ready to quit out on his team and turn up late for meetings, there’s no telling what he’ll do to get what he wants….
