Borussia Dortmund are yet to receive any concrete transfer offer for Jude Bellingham, amid interest from Man United.
Manchester United need a huge summer transfer window, in order to continue to develop this squad into one that fits Erik ten Hag’s style of play. The proof is in the pudding, this guy can manage, so let’s give him exactly what he needs to succeed.
Transfer rumours are already pretty consistent ahead of the big off-season, with Jude Bellingham one of the names regularly linked.
Although United may not be the frontrunners for the Englishman’s signature, the Old Trafford club are still seemingly in the race.
It’s the Manchester Evening News with the latest information on Bellingham. They quote Borussia Dortmund’s Sporting Director, Sebastian Kehl. He says that the Bundesliga club are yet to receive any official approaches for the top-class midfielder, amid United interest.
According to the MEN, it’s widely expected that Bellingham will leave BVB this coming summer, three years after joining from Birmingham City (he rejected United at that time).
As things stand, Real Madrid and Liverpool are regarded as the more likely winners of Bellingham’s signature, though United refuse to give up on the young midfielder at this point. It’s stated that Dortmund are ‘braced’ for offers.
I have to be honest. I’d be surprised if United have a genuine chance at winning Bellingham’s signature. I feel as if he’s already made his mind up on a move to either Liverpool or Madrid. It’d take something special to change that.
The fact he’s already turned United down once should be enough for the Old Trafford club to steer clear of Bellingham, though I get the allure of bringing a player like that in. He’s a truly unique individual who’d be an asset for any team in the world.
