Duo of Manchester United players send heartfelt messages to Wayne Rooney

Manchester United suffered an extremely painful defeat at the hands of Chelsea yesterday afternoon, as Jose was dealt his worst ever loss in Premier League football. The game took place without captain Wayne Rooney, who missed the fixture due to injury.

However, there was only a small chance that our leader would’ve started the game anyway due to some horrendous form he has been showing recently.

At the start of this campaign, the matches he has played in just haven’t been good. As a whole he’s looked really poor on the ball, and when given the opportunity in front of goal you feel it’s going to miss rather than hit the back of the net which is in stark contrast to a Wayne Rooney full of confidence and fully firing.

Today, though, it is a special one for Rooney, as he has reached his 31st birthday. Several of his Manchester United teammates have expressed their kind thoughts towards the dressing room favourite via social media.
