Manchester United have a chance to move into the top four for the first time in what feels like months tomorrow. Alright, the chances are that if we do indeed win, we’ll only be in the Champions League places for a couple of hours at the very most – but it shows how far we’ve come recently.
Ahead of our game against Swansea tomorrow, the Manchester Evening News have been taking photos of the squad arriving at the Lowry Hotel; which has been the team base for the players the night before every game this season.
The players arriving at the hotel have often been the squad that Jose Mourinho works with for the game, and that gives us an early look at who could be involved. There are certainly a couple of surprises for us all this week.
Finally, we have what looks like some good injury news. Juan Mata was involved with the squad and it looks as though he could return tomorrow. Most likely from off of the bench but it is wonderful to have him back.
The other huge surprise is to see Scott McTominay’s name. However, after Marouane Fellaini’s red card and suspension coupled with Paul Pogba being out injured – we are looking rather light in that area of the field. Will he get on the pitch? Probably not, but it is nice to see him involved.
Squad in full, as per the Manchester Evening News.
David de Gea, Sergio Romero, Joel Pereira, Antonio Valencia, Matteo Darmian, Axel Tuanzebe, Eric Bailly, Luke Shaw, Michael Carrick, Ander Herrera, Scott McTominay, Jesse Lingard, Ashley Young, Juan Mata, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Wayne Rooney, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford.
