Early Squad News: Manchester United’s 20-man squad for Swansea City away

Manchester United couldn’t have made a better start to the new Premier League season, sticking four past a poor West Ham United side at the Theatre of Dreams. Now, we’re straight onto the next one with a potentially tricky away fixture against Swansea City taking place on Saturday lunchtime.

Ahead of that match, we’ve been given some early squad news via the Manchester Evening News. They say that a 20-man squad is travelling to Wales for the eagerly anticipated clash, with all the usual suspects involved.

Men of the moment Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic have both travelled with the squad, as has the likes of Anthony Martial, Paul Pogba and Eric Bailly.

Perhaps the biggest surprise is the news that there is a place for defender Victor Lindelof, who was completely left out last week. Joel Pereira has also been included which is a great confidence booster for the young man.

Amongst the absentees is Andreas Pereira, who had a decent pre-season but hasn’t been able to get himself involved so far. Michael Carrick has also been left behind.

Have a look at the 20-man squad in full via the Manchester Evening News:

David de Gea, Sergio Romero, Joel Pereira, Victor Lindelof, Chris Smalling, Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Antonio Valencia, Daley Blind, Matteo Darmian, Marouane Fellaini, Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba, Ander Herrera, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Romelu Lukaku.
