For Manchester United, it’s about starting as you mean to go on. It has been a positive beginning to the Red Devils’ 2019/20 campaign. That form must continue.
Next up is a game against Crystal Palace, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer set to meet the media tomorrow. Ahead of then, though, the official United website has given us some positive injury news ahead of the game against The Eagles.
They write that United are ‘hopeful’ the Baby Faced Assassin will have no new injury concerns ahead of the home fixture on Saturday.
The only long-term absentee is Eric Bailly, while the article states that Alexis Sanchez could actually challenge for a place within the match-day squad for the first time this season.
Last time out, Andreas Pereira dropped to the bench and he’s probably in with a chance of returning. Personally, I’d like to see Mason Greenwood come into the team as he’d bring some more attacking quality to the attack.
It’s down to Solskjaer to pick a team that can play on the front-foot as United will no doubt enjoy the lions share of possession. You also have to be wary of Palace’s lightning counter-attack, particularly with Wilfried Zaha likely to be involved from the get-go…
Thankfully, the early team news is positive for United!
