Ed Woodward expects Man Utd to challenge on all fronts next season

Manchester United Football Club’s Edward Woodward met the media today, to brief the world’s financial experts about the state of the club on the business side of things. After a slow start with him and Moyes at the helm, Woodward now seems to be getting it right.

Many topics were on the agenda, including the factor that the club debt has risen by £40million, and that United will not be selling the Old Trafford naming rights anytime soon.

Another point of note was just how upbeat Woodward seemed about the future.

“We expect to be challenging for trophies in all competitions.” Woodward said.

After that shambolic season under Moyes last time around, its nice to see Woodward reaffirm the belief that Manchester United are expecting to challenge on all fronts next term.

Louis van Gaal seems to be getting the house in order slowly but surely, and the team seem to want to play for him which is the main thing.

Hopefully United can get some nice new signings in the transfer window, get a good pre-season under their belt and make a fine start to the new campaign next August.
