Eden Hazard, 21, is another prime example of why player power is ruining football. The first thing to say though, is that the boy has some talent in his locker and week in week out proves on the pitch why he is one of the most sort after players in Europe.
It’s reported that both Manchester Clubs have offered around £25million for the Lille playmaker, but this mornings papers are reporting that Chelsea, fresh after their Champions League win have put a bid in worth £30million pounds for him. Obviously in terms of wages, Chelsea and Manchester City will be leading the way. It’s now down to Hazard to choose a big payday, or the honour of playing in front of 75,000 fans every week and being part of the biggest team in world football.
Personally, I hope he opts for the big payday, like I said previously he has talent, but he seems like the type of player who could kick up a fuss if he’s not getting his way. He has the potential to clash with the other egos in dressing rooms. As we all know Fergie wouldn’t usually go for a player like this, so it’s clear he either thinks that he can calm him down, or that he is just too big of a talent to let go. The Belgian international doesn’t look like a one club man, he is one of those players who will seemingly “look for a new challenge” after a few years at the same club, so in a few years I’d expect to see him at one of the big Spanish clubs after his time in England.
As time goes on his ego grows and grows. It’s rumoured that he will confirm where he will be playing his football after his match for Lille tonight, and there is no way on this earth that our club will allow him to confirm this. As this is usually the clubs job, and there is no way United would let this happen. There was also a picture of him holding lots of different cards with different clubs on, as if he can choose who he wants, the arrogance of the man has made me grow to hate him extremely quickly, so for me, he is one player that we should let go.
No player should be allowed to play the games he is playing to earn himself a bigger pay cheque, let City and Chelsea battle it out and offer him over £200,000 pound a week contract, I’d rather us sign someone who has the hunger and desire to play for the badge, for me this is more important than signing talented but arrogant players. So for me, Mankini sign him up!
You might want to check some original sources instead of all the crap that has been written down by the English press. He’s immensly popular with his fellow teammates, the lille public, his collegues in France and the broad public over there. The reports about him and a big ego are completely unfounded… as you can check for yourself by just watching some clips behind the scenes from him on the Lille website…
Him saying what colour kit he will be playing in next season came from his own mouth. Also the picture of him where he has the cards with different club logos on them is legit. That’s just my opinion.
Your statements about the honor to play for united, the biggest club in the world seem a bit pompous, and i think you mean “one club man” and not “one man club”.
We have the biggest fan base, and came first in the list of biggest sports teams this year. It’s just a fact that we are the biggest club in the world, plus this is a united blog so expect it to be biased!
