It was just a few hours ago that the usually reliable Andy Mitten was posting that Zlatan Ibrahimovic could re-sign for Manchester United this week. Now, it looks as though Eric Bailly has seen that news, if the Ivorian’s latest Twitter response to the striker is anything to go by.
Bailly, 23, tweeted Ibrahimovic alongside the words ‘hope you’re almost ready to return, I’ll be right here. On top of that, the video he posted seems to be in United’s changing room – meaning that the 35-year-old forward is still training at the club, too.
Have a look at Bailly’s great Twitter reply here:

The fact that Bailly writes ‘I’ll be waiting’ suggests to me that Ibrahimovic looks all set for a Manchester United return.
As we all know, the striker has been out of action since April, but in my opinion, he seems to be making a remarkably quick recovery. Although personally, I’d be surprised if we see him take to the field before the turn of the year.
Ibrahimovic was by far and away our most prolific goalscorer last season, as he found the back of the net 26 times in all competitions. His veteran experience will work wonders in the dressing room, and to have him as another option within the squad can only be a positive thing.
