Eric Bailly injury woes continue, doubtful to play vs Everton

Eric Bailly injury woes have plagued his career. Now, he’s struggling again…

Just when the Ivorian centre-half reels you back in, another problem occurs. The defender had an excellent month or so not too long ago. However, he’s since been back out injured following a knock he picked up in training.

We haven’t seen him over the last few games, though he did make an appearance on the substitutes bench against Southampton on Wednesday. Now, it looks as though he’s going to be unavailable to play this weekend.

United have been hit with the injury concern, with the key star a doubt to take on Everton tomorrow, according to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer himself.

The gaffer wouldn’t go into details in regards to what the problem was but at this stage, who knows what’s going on with Bailly?

Check out what Solskjaer had to say on Eric Bailly and his latest injury concern:

“Eric is a doubt, apart from that everyone’s raring to go.” Solskjaer told reporters, including The Sun.

My first feeling on this is one of disappointment. We’ve seen it first-hand just how brilliant a fully-fit Bailly is. The problem? He plays a handful of games then goes missing for a prolonged period of time.

Sometimes, players’ body’s just aren’t cut out to undergo the stress and duress that being a high-level athlete requires. Bailly is a sad example of that.

If he does want inspiration, it’s not over yet as look at Luke Shaw flourishing despite countless injury problems of his own. I will say this, though, United’s patience is probably wearing thin with Bailly. There’s only so many more chances he’ll get before Solskjaer decides to move on and cut his losses.

This squad is potentially capable of winning titles. There is no room for passengers. Sooner or later, the Reds will look elsewhere, with Nikola Milenkovic seemingly on Solskjaer’s mind
