Eric Bailly would be happy to make AC Milan move: report

AC Milan are seemingly eyeing a move to sign Eric Bailly.

Manchester United are having major on-field problems at the moment. What’s strange is that despite all the attacking talent on display, the Red Devils are seriously struggling to find the back of the net with consistency.

On the flip side, we’re starting to do better defensively. Raphael Varane is back fit while the clean sheets are starting to flow. Finding the perfect partner for the Frenchman is proving to be a struggle, though.

Harry Maguire remains inconsistent, as does Victor Lindelof. Phil Jones cannot be relied upon due to a jagged injury history. Then you have Eric Bailly…

The Ivorian, currently away at AFCON, started life in Manchester brilliantly. He’d have a stunning debut season under Jose Mourinho – but then he’d catch the injury bug…

Consistency in playing has continued to evade him ever since. Some of it through his own doing, some not.

Well, now AC Milan are targeting a move for Bailly. That’s according to Gianluca Di Marzio. Apparently, the club are getting ‘positive signs’ from United over a potential transfer.

It’s stated that a move for Bailly is the ‘most feasible track for AC Milan at this point. On top of that, if the Serie A club are convinced enough to make a bid for Bailly, the 27-year-old Man United star would say ‘yes’ to the European giant.

This would be a brilliant transfer for Bailly. He’d be given that regular playing time in a league that should play to his strengths. I do worry about a January move, though, as it’d leave United very light at the heart of our defence. A summer move does seem more likely at this point.

It’d then mean United would once again be in the hunt to sign a new centre-back. Unless Rangnick has plans for Teden Mengi and/or Axel Tuanzebe.
