Erik ten Hag becoming ‘increasingly impatient’ with Jadon Sancho

Erik ten Hag is growing in frustration in regard to Jadon Sancho.

Erik ten Hag has now been in charge long enough to know who is good enough to make the grade and perhaps, more importantly, who isn’t.

Talk of a major squad overhaul has been pretty common over the last few weeks as we approach a huge summer transfer window. No doubt the United boss is ready to continue shaping this squad into one that better fits his style and image.

The latest information from the Manchester Evening News seems to follow that trend. According to their report, the gaffer is ‘pushing’ for United to become more ruthless when it comes to letting players leave.

Although this squad is in better shape than it was twelve months ago, the club are still paying huge wages to players that do not necessarily warrant it. Someone like Phil Jones is the prime example.

Several players get a mention in the aforementioned MEN article, though it’s Jadon Sancho’s name who peaked my interest…

Apparently, Ten Hag is becoming ‘increasingly impatient’ with the 23-year-old United star, who has started just five times in five months.

Some of that time was due to the World Cup, while another couple of months makes up some off-field issues Sancho was dealing with.

However, when United spent so much to bring in Sancho a couple of years ago, I think it’s fair to say we all expected to see more from the former Borussia Dortmund man.

Obviously, aged just 23, there’s room for Sancho to grow and develop, though Ten Hag is a manager who takes no passengers. Sancho has to buck his ideas up sooner rather than later.

Do you think Jadon Sancho will survive the summer cull? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
