Erik ten Hag will leave Ajax on a major high; winning the Eredivisie title.
In amongst the FA Youth Cup final success yesterday, the fact that Erik ten Hag delivered an Eredivisie title as a parting gift was somewhat forgotten about.
Ajax lifted the title yesterday evening after yet another convincing victory, ensuring that Ten Hag will leave his homeland on a positive note.
Ten Hag’s side won 5-0 on the night, ensuring the league was over with one game to spare – and the celebrations at full-time were glorious. The stadium was absolutely bouncing, with the incoming United manager soaking it all in and loving every single minute of it.
There’s no better way for Ten Hag to exit. He leaves Ajax with his head held high, in the good books of the whole club – including both fans and players. It was superb to see just how much it meant to United’s new boss.

The first thing to note is Ten Hag’s infectious personality. You can tell just how much those players love working under him – and I’d like to think the United dressing room will view him in exactly the same way.
There’s also the winning aspect. Ten Hag has won silverware regularly for Ajax. That mentality will never leave him. He will never settle for second best.
He’ll know it’ll take time at United to turn our fortunes around, but the winning habit is a great thing to have and the 52-year-old will demand the absolute maximum from his players here at Old Trafford.
Hopefully, we’re seeing these glorious scenes at old Trafford one day!
