Erik ten Hag has given a short but sweet Man United team news update ahead of the FA Cup game vs Wigan.
Manchester United’s only realistic chance at lining the trophy cabinet with silverware this season is the FA Cup.
Erik ten Hag’s side made it to the final last season, before they were beaten by Manchester City. The Reds dressing room will be hoping to go one better this time around, though United will have to start playing better – and quickly.
An away game against Wigan Athletic is a super day out for our travelling supporters, though do not underestimate the League One opponent.
Ahead of the Monday night clash, Ten Hag met the media and delivered the all-important team news – though there wasn’t really much to say, either positively or negatively.
The gaffer stated that he will ‘more or less’ have the same squad. We believe one player could return.

“I think we will have, more or less, the same squad as against Nottingham Forest,” Ten Hag told the official club website.
I would assume that Rasmus Hojlund will be fit and ready to go after overcoming an illness. He has been given a week-plus to recover from a sickness bug that had been going round the camp. We certainly missed the Dane against Nottingham Forest.
Ten Hag also addressed the fact that Andre Onana will be available for selection here, though I cannot help but feel picking the man from Cameroon would be a mistake. This is the perfect opportunity to see what Altay Bayindir is made of, before he’s thrust into the limelight when the aforementioned Onana does head to AFCON.
Either way, nine times out of ten, United should be winning this match, whatever team they put out.
