Erik ten Hag has spoken glowingly about the ‘developing’ midfielder, Casemiro.
Manchester United Football Club are absolutely moving in the right direction under Erik ten Hag.
Tuesday’s 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur was total domination. United did not let their opponents breathe at all. Some may say it was the complete display.
Those small steps being made by the Red Devils have to keep taking place if this squad is serious about challenging for major honours. It all starts with the players buying into the Ten Hag system.
The signings made over the summer are absolutely leading the way. To a man, they’ve all been excellent. Though it did take one of them a little longer to find his feet; Casemiro.
The Brazilian arrived late. Couple that with some excellent form from Scott McTominay and it was always going to require patience. Well after a few weeks to build up the minutes and get used to the system, we’re now seeing the best out of the ex-Real Madrid midfielder.
After the match yesterday, Ten Hag was also full of praise for the United star, who he believes is ‘growing from game to game’. It’s hard to disagree.

”Definitely, there is a link between them, that is clear,” Ten Hag told ManUtd.com, when asked about the Fred and Casemiro partnership,
”Casemiro is now at the side of him and we see him developing and proving why we signed him.
”He is growing from game to game.”
Given a real run in the side, we’re now seeing the absolute class player that is Casemiro. He’s the ideal midfielder for this system. He loves to break up the play and get his teammates moving in the right direction.
It’s the calmness. That winning mentality. That simplicity. The whole package is just perfect.
There’s no doubt that Casemiro fills a void within this squad, offering that extra protection to the back line, while also being more than adequate in the offensive aspect of the game, too.
Honestly, it has just been a joy watching him play. No doubt he’ll continue to improve under Ten Hag, too.
