Erik ten Hag has been named PL Manager of the Month for September.
Manchester United Football Club are heading in a fresh direction under Erik ten Hag. There’s no doubt it’ll take time for the squad to fully adapt to this new system. That’s just natural.
Slowly but surely, progress is being made. The early signs are absolutely encouraging. United won both of their games in September, beating Leicester City 1-0 and Arsenal 3-1.
For their efforts, Ten Hag has been named the Premier League’s Player of the Month – and it was richly deserved, too.
As you can see from the photo below, the gaffer was all-smiles, though keen to make everyone aware it was a team effort, the full coaching staff were backing up the Dutchman. Class.

This is just the second time a United manager has won the Manager of the Month award since Sir Alex Ferguson retired. The other coach to do it was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who enjoyed an excellent month of January back in 2019.
Again, it’s just reassuring to hear that United are on the right track again. As we’ve already stated, the process is going to be a long one. There will be bumps in the road, maybe one of those bumps will come this weekend against City, but let’s try and enjoy the ride, hey?
One thing I will say is that this squad is rediscovering its fight and dedication. That should always be the minimum requirement for any player of a professional capacity. United lost that in years gone by, but it’s slowly returning.
