Erik ten Hag pictured at Man United vs Crystal Palace game

Well, the rumours are true. Erik ten Hag has been spotted as Man United take on Crystal Palace today.

Manchester United close the curtain on a truly disastrous season this afternoon, during an away game at Selhurst Park. The ground hasn’t been the kindest to the Old Trafford club over the years, with United enduring mixed results away against the Eagles.

Today’s game is pretty irrelevant. It’ll be Ralf Rangnick’s last in charge before moving upstairs in some sort of consultancy role – with all eyes on Erik ten Hag moving forward.

Well, just as United’s game against Crystal Palace kicked off, we were treated to a glimpse of our new manager arriving at the stadium. Credit to the camera crew who picked him up quickly!

With the new boss in the crowd, it could spur these players on to try and finish the season strong. Ater all, everyone starting here, Edinson Cavani aside, will be at the club next term. They all have a point to prove.

To be brutally honest with you, I’ll be watching today’s game half-heartedly. This season ended for us as soon as top four was no longer mathematically possible. It’ll be a long road back, but I do believe Ten Hag is the man for the job.

It all starts with serious backing over the summer, before a crucial pre-season tour over in Australasia. It is superb to see the Dutchman already getting stuck in, though!
