Erik ten Hag may find himself out of a job at Man United sooner rather than later, with the club already weighing up their replacement options for the Dutchman…
Manchester United’s start to the season has been somewhat mixed. The lads have played some good stuff on some occasions, though the results haven’t followed suit. In other matches, the performances and final score haven’t been ideal. Understandably, the pressure is starting to build on Erik ten Hag.
The Dutchman saved his own job by winning the FA Cup last term, though no doubt INEOS were looking to see some vast improvements to kick off this campaign. I’m not quite sure he’s done enough in that regard just yet.
As a result, TEAMtalk believe the Dutchman is already on ‘borrowed time’ at the Theatre of Dreams, with United ‘actively looking’ for a replacement manager.
Seven points from five Premier League matches has piled the pressure on Ten Hag, with questions now being raised internally.
TEAMtalk believe that United are on the hunt for a boss who can take the Reds back to the top. while they do not see Ten Hag as that man. It’s stated there is ‘only a matter of time’ before a new manager is in place.
Current coach Ruud van Nistelrooy is said to be the current favourite to take over, while Gareth Southgate and Thomas Tuchel are also in the mix…
I’d personally stick with Ten Hag. At least for now. He’s been given five new signings of his choosing and the Dutchman deserves more than a handful of games to try and turn it around this season. If I had my way I’d allow him to see out this current campaign before making a decision, but things can happen so quickly in football so I wouldn’t be surprised if he loses his job before then.
