Erik ten Hag has spoken out about Marcus Rashford and his contract latest.
Manchester United Football Club have someone playing at a truly world-class level right now in the form of Marcus Rashford.
The Englishman has scored more goals than anyone in Europe since the return of domestic football following the World Cup, with Erik ten Hag having a man he can 100% trust.
As things stand, Rashford is free to leave Old Trafford in summer 2024 due to his contract expiring, though, as you’d expect, United want to keep ahold of their star man.
Reports suggest that United would demand around £120m to sell Rashford this summer, though in an ideal world, he’ll stick around.
Anyway, Ten Hag has recently spoken out about the Rashford contract situation, admitting that talks are taking place behind the scenes, with the club desperate not to lose the Englishman.

“We can’t lose him, of course — we’re working to extend his contract”, Ten Hag said yesterday, per Fabrizio Romano.
I genuinely thought there was a chance Rashford would be sold last summer. Now, the club wouldn’t dream of letting him leave. It’s all down to Ten Hag wanting to work with the striker, with the number ten seemingly loving life under the Dutchman.
I do not say this lightly, Rashford is so vital to this team and squad. Any future success depends largely on the Englishman keeping up these levels – starting with the Carabao Cup final next week.
I don’t think it’s a foregone conclusion that Rashford stays at Old Trafford, though the club will have to be feeling positive about their chances, though winning silverware and finishing inside the Premier League’s top four could swing the pendulum further in the Reds’ favour.
