Erik ten Hag has apparently told Jadon Sancho that he’s not doing enough at Man United.

Manchester United Football Club are evolving under Erik ten Hag. That progress is there for all to see.

The Old Trafford side are now playing a different style of football. Some players have adapted nicely. Others have needed time to adjust.

One man who has been somewhat in the middle is Jadon Sancho. The Englishman started the season in fine form, but has since gone off the boil.

Well, now we’ve been given some indication as to why Sancho has been missing for the handful of matches prior to the World Cup.

It’s AS with the story, who state that Ten Hag has told the 22-year-old he’s ‘not satisfied’ with his performance. On top of that, Ten Hag has asked for more commitment from Sancho.

Sancho, who was considered an elite winger while over at Borussia Dortmund, has largely flattered to deceive here in Manchester. These attitude questions are certainly a minor cause for concern.

The good news is that Sancho is seemingly ready to put in that effort. We covered a story which claimed the Englishman is working with coaches, recommended by Ten Hag, during the World Cup. This came after he completely wiped his Instagram feed – seemingly to clear his mind of any distractions.

OTF’s verdict

I’m a big fan of the talent. Sancho is someone who strikes me as being perfect for this system. He just needs to rediscover that fire in his belly and he’ll be absolutely fine.

Perhaps missing out on the World Cup squad, coupled with scrutiny from his manager, will have the desired effect and get Sancho back on the right track.

Ten Hag also must be a believer in Sancho. Otherwise, he’d be out in the cold like Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
