Erik ten Hag isn’t sure whether Jadon Sancho will ever play for Man United again…
Manchester United Football Club take on Brighton & Hove Albion in a massive game this weekend, with the Red Devils desperate for a victory with all that’s going on. As we all know, this will not be easy.
The gaffer has had some issues to deal with of late. Antony isn’t part of the squad right now, while another right-winger, Jadon Sancho, is also out of the fold after a dispute with the manager.
The Englishman wasn’t best-pleased at being left out of the Arsenal squad following poor training performances. He’d take to social media to express his displeasure. As a result, the ex-Borussia Dortmund man has been training alone.
Yesterday, Ten Hag was asked whether Sancho will ever play for United again, with the manager offering an uncertain response…
Check out what Erik ten Hag said in full here:
“I don’t know,” said Ten Hag, when asked whether Sancho will play for United again, per ESPN.
“I prepare my team the best I can, I put all my effort into the players who are available. He is not available, so in this moment, he is not important, because he can’t contribute.”
It’s just a shame this dispute happened after the transfer window slammed shut. If the two came to loggerheads a few weeks earlier, there’s probably a very good chance that Sancho would already be playing his football elsewhere.
For Ten Hag, it’s about ensuring his authority isn’t questioned. Sancho has tried damn hard to undermine the current United manager. Unless the winger comes out and publicly apologises for his behaviour, I just don’t see the duo seeing eye-to-eye ever again.
If this drags on for a few more weeks, I just don’t see a resolution happening, which would lead to Sancho being sold, most likely on a cut-price deal, in January.
