Two key Man United stars were named in the BBC’s latest Team of the Week following the 3-1 win over Arsenal.
Manchester United Football Club made it four Premier League wins on the trot at Old Trafford yesterday, beating Arsenal 3-1.
The Red Devils gave up possession in favour of hitting the Gunners on the counter-attack. It was a strategy that the lads clearly worked on in training, with Erik ten Hag’s players executing it perfectly.
What I love about Ten Hag is the fact that he’s willing to adjust and adapt on a game-by-game basis. He’s tactically flexible, which is something you absolutely have to be if you’re serious about winning trophies.
He outthought Mikel Arteta at the Theatre of Dreams yesterday, with the eleven who were out there on the pitch always in complete control.
For their performances, a United duo was named in the BBC team of the Week following the win; Christian Eriksen and Marcus Rashford.

Eriksen, a summer recruit, joined on a free transfer. The idea behind signing the Dane was one for squad depth. However, Eriksen has started every match thus far – looking like a brilliant piece of business.
The ex-Brentford and Spurs man was named Man of the Match live on Sky Sports yesterday, as he once again quietly went about his business, picking the right passes and ensuring United were always in control.
As for Rashford, his excellence showed up on the stats sheet. The Englishman ended the match with an assist and two goals, contributing heavily whenever United were in Arsenal’s third of the pitch.
What’s weird is that it wasn’t really Rasford’s best overall performance in terms of hold-up play, passing and leading the line. However, if he’s going to directly contribute to three goals every single week, we’ll absolutely take that every single time!
Congratulations, lads!
