Evans Not Ready For Spurs Game

The boss has confirmed that defender Jonny Evans ‘isn’t ready’ to face Spurs in the second part of ‘Super Sunday’ at 4pm, Fergie said that the Northern Ireland international is not ‘100 percent fit’ from his hamstring injury, which is a bitter blow to our chances as we look to come away from White Hart Lane with three points.

“We’ve got a strong squad. Jonny Evans still isn’t available,” Sir Alex continued. “He’s not 100 per cent. Other than that, we’re not too bad. We got a lot of players a game on Wednesday and I thought they did well. It was a good performance.”

SAF was full of praise for Michael Carrick, hailing this season as his ‘best ever’ at United since his arrival from this weekends opponents back in 2006.

“It’s his best ever season at the club and he’s commanding that position.” Sir Alex stated.

He was also sympathetic towards Darren Fletcher, but reiterated the Scot has no plans to retire and he’ll be back by July.

“This operation will hopefully solve the situation and we expect him to be back in July.”

So Fletcher and Evans aside, we’ve got a massive squad of players to select from, and although it’ll be hard fought we should be looking to come away from White Hart Lane with all three points.

Come on Reds!
