Everton handed huge injury boost ahead of Manchester United game

Everton have been handed a major boost ahead of the game against Manchester United this coming Saturday. John Stones, who was doubtful to feature, ‘should be ready’ according to Roberto Martinez – the Everton gaffer.

“I think he should be ready. Remember that John has been having a lot of quality work at Finch Farm and it will be a matter of just getting that match fitness.” Roberto Martinez told the media.

John Stones has been one of their top performers this season, and alongside Funes Mori they seem to be building an excellent partnership. Manchester United reportedly chased the signature of Stones this summer, but Everton rejected huge bids from Chelsea so it probably put Louis van Gaal off.

However if he keeps progressing the way he is doing at the moment we could well see Manchester United go back in with another offer in the future.
