Rafael scored the goal of his life against QPR at the weekend with his twin brother Fabio, watching on from the stands as he wasn’t eligible to play due to the agreements of his loan move. The 22-year old was sat next to the QPR president, and admitted he nearly celebrated Rafael’s screamer.
Fabio has featured 17 times in all competitions for QPR this year, and this precious game time should help him when he comes back to United to try and break into the first team fold just as his brother has done.
“I was pleased to see my brother score a goal like that,” he told GloboEsporte. “Naturally I wanted to celebrate. But I was sat next to the QPR president! I told him afterwards: ‘You never score goals like that! You had to do it against my new team!’ But I was happy for him.”
