Facundo Pellistri has been involved in first-team training again, as Ole Gunnar Solsjaer’s side get ready for the chance to move to second in the table.
Earlier today, we covered a claim from the Manchester Evening News, who suggested that a handful of youngsters, including Facundo Pellistri and Shola Shoretire, were involved in a first-team session over the weekend.
Chances like these are massive for United’s up-and-comers, while no doubt they’re relishing the chance to impress Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Pellistri, who was only signed from Penarol this summer, is starting to find his feet for the U23s. He scored in back-to-back-to-back games recently, with the Uruguayan doing all he can to force his way into the Baby Faced Assassin’s permanent plans.
Well, the 19-year-old starlet was once again involved in the latest first-team training session, as the Reds prepare for the game against Wolves tonight.

With Marcus Rashford feeling his shoulder as the Leicester game drew to a close, there may well be a chance for Pellistri to be included in the matchday squad. Particularly when you consider how thin we are up top…
That will change soon, mind, with Amad Diallo expected to arrive from Atalanta in the not too distant future. He’s another one that’ll instantly be pushing for a first-team place as soon as he walks through the Old Trafford entrance doors.
We’ve said it before, we’ll say it again. Pellistri is doing all he can. The teenager has to keep impressing youth coaches and the first-team chances will follow. For what it’s worth, I like this guy. He’s quick, two-footed and intelligent on the ball.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see Pellistri feature heavily next season. What that means for United’s potential move for Jadon Sancho, who knows…?
