Facundo Pellistri sealed a deadline day loan move to Alaves, and although it went under the radar, he can’t wait to get started.
The young Uruguayan arrived at Old Trafford with promise aplenty, while we always knew it’d take him time to settle into his new surroundings.
Pellistri has put in some brilliant performances at U23s level, while featuring in a few senior matchday squads. However, a loan move away was always likely.
Spain always felt like the correct destination for the youngster, while Alaves, a club in La Liga, could do with some extra fire-power. Let’s hope Pellistri can hit the ground running.
Anyway, after sealing a move, the United loanee uploaded a photo of himself, all-smiles, wearing his new club colours for the first time. He expressed how ‘very happy’ he is with the move, while thanking Alaves for their trust.

I guess now it’s about getting down to business. Pellistri will probably be eased into it with Alaves, though he has twenty league games to prove his worth.
No doubt Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keeping a watchful eye on his young starlet, with the hope that Pellistri can come back a better player and challenge for a first-team spot at the Theatre of Dreams.
For Pellistri, it’s a massive opportunity. He gets to play in one of Europe’s top five leagues week-in-week-out for the next few months. What more could he ask for?
Good luck, Facundo!
