Fellaini out for two months

Manchester United will be without their £27.5m summer signing, Marouane Fellaini, for around two months after the Belgian midfielder underwent a successful operation on his wrist. The 26-year old injured his wrist back in October, but opted to wait until now for surgery.

Personally I’d have hoped Fellaini would’ve made a much bigger impact at United so far, and hopefully nailed down a first-team spot on a regular basis. Sadly that hasn’t happened for various reasons, and Fellaini hasn’t hit the levels of performances he put in at Everton just yet. I’m still hoping he’ll come good for us though, but we won’t see him action for United until the middle of February.

The Belgian has been missing since the Everton game earlier this month due to a back problem, and now this surgery on his wrist has only compounded his misery. I just hope he still manages to nail down a first-team spot internationally as he was key to Belgium’s progression to the World Cup.
