Five Manchester United players were named in WhoScored’s latest Premier League Team of the Week.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Reds were simply breathtaking at times against Southampton. It’s a performance that’ll forever live long in our memory.
Sure, it was aided by an early red card, though United still had to go out there and get the job done. In the end, nine goals were scored, though it could have easily been more on another day.
For their outstanding displays, five reds were named in the latest WhoScored Team of the Week – and I’m delighted to report one of them would score a perfect 10!

First up we have Luke Shaw. The left-back only played 45 minutes, but to still earn a place in the TOTW is testament to how spectacular he was in that first half. The Englishman would be subbed off with two assists to his name.
Over in the right-back position is Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who’d open the scoring with a pretty decent finish to set United on their way. From that point forward, he’d look to get himself in on the attack wherever possible – while also making some excellent tackles.
Next up we have Mason Greenwood who is the only Reds player in this team that didn’t end up on the score-sheet. He would pick up an assist, though, while looking pretty sharp for the duration of the match.
Anthony Martial only came on as a half-time substitute but he didn’t waste any time to get himself in amongst the action. Two goals and he won a penalty. No doubt this will do his confidence the world of good.
We’ve decided to save the best till last; Bruno Fernandes. This is the first time I’ve ever seen a United player score a perfect 10 on WhoScored. What’s crazy is Bruno wasn’t even that good, but he still ended the game with a couple of assists and a goal.
Well played, lads!
