Forgotten Man United man emerges as loan target for Premier League club: report

Manchester United now has a new manager, as Jose Mourinho has departed, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer taking charge.

With a new coach comes new ideas. Now, the Norwegian will be looking to implement his own tactics, and that may mean a change in players who get their opportunity.

The first name to be linked with a potential United exit is Andreas Pereira, with Here Is The City, citing the Sunday People newspaper (page 49, 16th December 2018), who claim that the Brazilian is a shock target for West Ham United.

Manuel Pellegrini is considering a loan bid for the midfielder, who started the season in Mourinho’s plans but rapidly faded and largely remained on the periphery for the next few months.

The 22-year-old is talented, he does deserve to be playing regular football. However, I’m just not sure he’s up to United standard. Perhaps a move away to another Premier League side will help him, but if that happens, there is no guarantee that Pereira would want to stay as he is out of contract next summer.

West Ham would be a good fit, they play exciting football, and the fact that Pereira can play on the wing or in midfield means that his versatility could prove to be a vital asset.
