Former Premier League manager admits he has no chance of Man Utd manager job

Manchester United could be looking for a new manager over the summer, with a whole host of world class managers thought to be interested. One man who has ruled himself out of the United job is former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers…

“When you manage Liverpool you know the Manchester United job is gone.” Rodgers began. “I see alot of the criticism he gets but there’s no way that LvG is sending the players out to have that few shots on target.”

“This is a guy who’s been around a long time and he built a team in ’95 at Ajax that everybody talked about for years.”

Honestly, I don’t think it was all that necessary for Rodgers to come out and admit that he wouldn’t be getting the Manchester United job, because he isn’t anywhere near good enough.

However he talks about Van Gaal’s Ajax’s side back in 1995, but that may be the exact issue here. That style of play worked perfectly twenty years ago, but now it feels completely outdated.
