Anthony Martial made an outstanding Old Trafford debut yesterday, scoring a wonderful solo goal towards the end of the game ensuring a Manchester United victory against their fiercest of rivals. After the game Martial’s compatriot Thierry Henry was full of praise for the youngster.
Thierry Henry said: “I’m happy for Martial. They’re wondering if he spoke English, he proved he did with the ball.”
“I love the finish, it’s a great finish for me. Martial freezes the keeper by looking up before he hits it.” Henry added.
To receive such high praise from a man of Henry’s calibre must be extremely beneficial to Anthony Martial. He’ll be full of confidence after scoring a fantastic goal and hopefully he can now hit the ground running from here on out.
At the end of the day he is just nineteen years old and still learning. He will have his off days but thats to be expected.
