From Sky: Manchester United interested in signing brilliant Belgian midfielder this summer

Manchester United made some wonderful signings last summer, with Jose Mourinho’s first act as manager bringing in the likes of Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. I’d argue that there is no coach better at identifying a team’s needs, then fixing that issue.

With the summer transfer window looming, here come the rumours. Today, Sky Sports News are claiming that Manchester United want to sign AS Roma’s midfielder, Radja Nainggolan.

The Belgian, now 29, has been at the heart of Roma’s midfield for quite some time now. Although it feels like he is often linked with a move away from the Serie A, it never seems to materialise. Maybe this summer, it’s time.

I’d love him at the Theatre of Dreams. He’s a proper box-to-box midfielder, who can do multiple jobs, including being an excellent passer, whilst also having a deadly shot on him.

Next to Paul Pogba and Ander Herrera, it’d be a truly wonderful combination of players, that’d strike fear into opposing midfielders. Nainggolan wouldn’t come cheap but it would be one hell of a signing if the manager can pull it off.

He’s a player that’d be able to come into the team and slot in straight away. As we all know, creating chances has been one of our poor points, and I’ve no doubts that the Belgian could come in and help with that instantly.
