From Sky Sports: Manchester United identify how many signings they want to make this summer

Manchester United’s season is over, and we won’t see our heroes take to the field for a couple of months at the very least. Now comes the transfer period which can be quite frustrating, considering we’re linked with every name under the sun by multiple media outlets.

Although, the most reliable source for transfer news remains Sky Sports. Today, they report that Jose Mourinho and Manchester United would like to make four signings this summer; and their priority man? Antoine Griezmann of Atletico Madrid.

They add that the Red Devils want to bring in a centre-back, preferably one of Victor Lindelof, Michael Keane or Virgil van Dijk. Personally, I’d love to see one of the latter two come in as they are Premier League proven and ready to play.

Finally, Sky adds that Mourinho is looking for a midfielder, as well as a versatile full-back, capable of playing both left and right-back. They do not name any targets for these two positions.

Honestly, if Jose brings in another four players I’d be more than happy. Slowly but surely, our squad is taking shape and that’s great. Let’s be honest, if we can bag Griezmann, as well as dealing with a few other needs then that has to be classed as a good summer.

Cast your mind back to the summer of 2016, our boss got every single one of his transfer decisions 100% correct, and he signed four that time too. It’s a project for him and a long-term one at that. I’m of the opinion that we’ll challenge for trophies regardless of who we sign.
