GALLERY: Manchester United’s 2-1 victory over Stoke

Manchester United made it four wins in a row at home to Stoke City last night, with Marouane Fellaini and Juan Mata providing the goals which gave United those all-important three points. Louis van Gaal confessed he wasn’t happy with the first-half performance, but he was pleased with the way the lads fought against a tough side to beat.

Fellaini continues his excellent run of form in the Red shirt, whereas Juan Mata scored the eventual winner with a free-kick which was placed into that ‘corridor of uncertainty’ which goalkeepers hate – eventually the ball nestled straight into the back of Asmir Begovic’s net.
