German forward interested in move to Manchester United: report

German striker Timo Werner has admitted he’d be interested in a move to Manchester United, according to the Daily Mirror. The problem is, the 21-year-old has also implied that a transfer to Manchester City would also be appealing.

The young striker has been prolific for RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga for the last two seasons, scoring goals for fun as his stock in European football continues to rise.

No doubt Werner will be making a move to an elite side in the not too distant future, and I’d hope that Manchester United would be right at the front of the queue to sign the intelligent forward.

Werner has a game that seems perfect for English football. He’s quick, strong and agile, while being lethal in front of goal. The only problem I’d have is that would he displace Romelu Lukaku in the team? At this stage in his career, I’d say probably not.

I think it says a lot about his talents that both Manchester sides have shown an interest in him, particularly someone so young. Understandably, RB Leipzig would be keen on keeping ahold of Werner, but eventually, the money being thrown at them may be too good to turn down.
