Manchester United could be closing in on their first major signing, with Fred to the Red Devils practically a done deal.
That’s according to the usually excellent Gianluca Di Marzio, he shared the update via his Twitter page, while also providing his followers with some news on Diogo Dalot.
Our favourite Italian journalist claims that United and Porto are still trying to reach an agreement for the transfer of the 19-year-old Dalot, but the fact that a move for Fred is done is huge news.
The Shakhtar Donetsk man has been brilliant this term, with the 25-year-old certainly earning his move to the Premier League following some insanely good performances.
Fred i know it’s done as i said. Dalot no medicals yet, still waiting agreement between clubs

Midfield has to be the priority for this transfer window. We’ve lost a true legend of the game in Michael Carrick, and it also looks like Marouane Fellaini is set to walk away from the Theatre of Dreams.
Fred is the perfect complement for both Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic as he’ll bring some much-needed energy to the park, while also offering freedom for his new French teammate to bomb on and effect the game in the final third.
As for Dalot, it still seems as though a deal will be completed. It’s just a case of waiting for the clubs involved to work out the details.
