The Glazer family have placed Manchester United Football Club up for sale.
Yesterday was a jam-packed one for Manchester United fans. Cristiano Ronaldo has left the club permanently, with his contract terminated as a mutual decision.
That was always to be expected, given the hostile relationship Ronaldo now has with the United supporters following his comments.
What wasn’t expected was the news that the Glazer family could cash in on Manchester United Football Club. Yes, you did read that correctly!
Out of nowhere, sources left, right and centre were sharing their latest information.
Sky Sports News’ Kaveh Solhekol tweeted his take, claiming that United ‘are for sale’. The club are willing to listen to offers, with a front runner already being identified – some sort of US investors.

It’s a weird situation. I’m absolutely delighted those owners are looking to cash in, though I’m not delighted about the fact they’re going to make billions as a result.
On top of that, sometimes it’s better the devil you know… Although US investors may be the front runners, what’s stopping an owner, with sports washing in mind, coming in with a huge bid?
At the end of the day, the Glazers will sell to the highest bidder. United fans cannot control who’ll come in and buy the club – which is a little bit concerning.
I would like to see some sort of fan input being involved in the takeover, giving the supporters a real say in some key decisions – though I accept that’s probably unlikely at the moment.
For now, let’s be happy that the Glazer family could soon be on the way out. However, this process could be quite a long and tedious one.
