Goalkeeper set to leave Manchester United permanently

Manchester United’s transfer window seems to be hotting up again, and the latest report comes from the Telegraph, who say that Anders Lindegaard is set to join West Brom on a free transfer before tomorrow’s 6pm transfer deadline.

Lindegaard, 31, has been at Old Trafford for five years since making the £3million switch to the club back in 2010. He has largely been a bit-part player due to David de Gea’s superb form over the years, but he has always been a more than adequate backup for the Spaniard.

The Dane is at that stage in his career where regular football is a must, so a move away to a side like West Brom would certainly be good for him. He’ll also have Jonny Evans there to help him get used to new surroundings, as the Northern Irishman also sealed a move to the midlands just a few days ago. Lets also not forget the club captain in the Black Country is a certain Darren Fletcher.
