Gossip: Yaya Toure turned down Manchester United move

Want-away Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has reportedly turned down a move to Manchester United, according to the Daily Star. The 31-year old infamously suggested he wanted to leave City due to the lack of a birthday cake and party, despite the fact that City won the league last season.

Manchester United knew that Toure wanted out of Manchester City, and apparently approached the club about the possibility of signing their star man. United value Yaya at £40million, but the Ivorian turned down the move because he is holding out for one final payday at Paris Saint-Germain.

Now, I’m not sure if I believe this at all. Yaya is 31, and probably has maybe one or two seasons left at the very top. If he picks up a bad injury, then his career could well be over.

  1. Without doubt I would take Yaya and Manchester United. What greater satisfaction is there than having your rivals bets player betray they and join your team. I do however think 40million is far too much. He has 2/3 seasons left playing the way he currently does so a transfer fee of around 22-25million is far more appropriate. Lets not forget Real Madrid have just signed Toni Kroos for 20million…

  2. Yes, I will support. Yaya is a powerfull and entertaining player with very accurate passes. Whenever in the field, everything is well coordinated and suburb. Yaha, please join ManU and you will never regret…………….
