Hannibal is yet to decide where his footballing future lies, as he remains involved for Man United during pre-season.
Erik ten Hag has assembled a 29-man pre-season tour squad at Manchester United this summer, with some major names still absent due to their participation for their respective nations over the last month or so.
It goes without saying, the dressing room will be trimmed down significantly before the serious stuff starts next month, as Ten Hag weighs up who to keep and who to sell.
One man who has been on the fringes ever since he made the move to Old Trafford is Hannibal. He’s a massively talented young man who has so far been unable to assert himself on a regular basis. That could lead to his exit from Salford Quays, either on loan or permanently…
Now, AfricaFoot have provided an interesting update on Hannibal. They claim that the United starlet is ‘still undecided’ about his future at the club due to a lack of playing time.
With just one year left on his deal, Hannibal has a pretty huge decision to make, as he weighs up his options at this point in his career.
Apparently, Danish side Copenhagen has started ‘negotiations and contacts’ with the player over a potential move, which would be a loan with the option to buy. However, the Tunisia international is not keen on the proposal placed on the table.
SPL side Rangers are also keen on the young midfielder, as they look to take Hannibal on loan. Rangers saw the ex-AS Monaco man first-hand last weekend, as he played one half as the Reds beat Rangers 2-0. Those negotiations are said to be ‘advanced’.
It does seem like Hannibal is set for a short-term exit this time around, with the 21-year-old given a chance to impress North of the border over the next nine months. Hopefully, he can do well and come back to Manchester next summer with a real point to prove.
