Man United’s attentions are firmly on Harry Kane going into the summer.

Manchester United Football Club lost Cristiano Ronaldo in December. They replaced him with Wout Weghorst in the interim.

For what it’s worth, the Dutchman has done a stellar job thus far. The work he puts in for the team is nothing short of phenomenal. For that, he’ll always have a place in our hearts.

In the long-term, Weghorst isn’t going to be the solution. Names like Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen continue to be linked with an Old Trafford switch.

Well, according to The Mirror, it’s the Englishman who Erik ten Hag truly wants. Apparently, the 29-year-old star is United’s number-one transfer target going into the summer. So much so, the Reds are prepared to break the British transfer record to bring him in.

Kane’s current contract expires in 2024, with clubs now sniffing around to sign the Englishman, who has been nothing short of sensational for years now.

However, Kane is still trophyless at White Hart Lane. Could that lead to the Englishman wanting a change of scenery? It’s very possible at this point…

There’s only so much losing you can take before you’re forced into a move away from a club – no matter how much you love them.

Negotiating with Daniel Levy will still not be easy regardless of Kane’s contract, with the striker still set to cost in excess of £100m.

For a striker who is slap-bang in the middle of his prime, it still makes sense to go out there and splash the cash – particularly if his signature results in United winning a Premier League title.
