Harry Maguire wins November Premier League Player of the Month award

Harry Maguire has been named the November Premier League Player of the Month.

Manchester United have been pretty poor in Europe this season, though their Premier League form seems to be trending in the right direction, which is a welcome relief.

The Red Devils were atop of the form table before that poor performance against Newcastle United, though the lads did put it right with a convincing victory over Chelsea in midweek. The squad and the manager deserve credit for turning this around – though there is still much work ahead.

Perhaps no one man epitomises the ‘revival’ more than Harry Maguire. He came very close to leaving the club over the summer, though chose to stay put and fight for his place. He has been simply exceptional of late.

Now, his performances have been rewarded as the Englishman was named the Premier League Player of the Month for November. He was, understandably, all-smiles when presented with his well deserved award!

Honestly, I’ll be the first to admit that I thought Maguire was finished at the Theatre of Dreams. Credit to him for not letting those negative thoughts creep in. If anything, the Englishman has used it as fuel to take his game to another level.

Perhaps letting go of the armband is the best thing that’s happened to Maguire. I know it would have hurt at the time but right now, there’s less pressure on him and it’s refreshing to see him playing so brilliantly.

He’s among the first names on the team sheet at this current juncture and there are not many better centre-halves in this country than an on-song Maguire.
