Henrikh Mkhitaryan sends message to Man United fans following injury & goal

Manchester United secured their place in the next round of the Europa League yesterday night, when Jose Mourinho’s men beat Saint-Etienne by a 1-0 scoreline. The result must’ve pleased everyone involved in the club, but the game was marred by a key injury.

The man in question is Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who hobbled off the first half with what looked like a hamstring problem. It was a real shame, because the Armenian star was putting in a brilliant performance on the whole; and it included a wonderful goal.

Now, the 27-year-old has taken to Twitter to give the Manchester United fans an update on the game as a whole – and his fingers will remain crossed on the injury.

With the EFL Cup just on the horizon Jose must be sweating regarding whether the attacking midfielder will be fit, but right now it doesn’t look good at all.

I’d be absolutely gutted if he misses out because recently, he has been the man that makes us tick. His ability on the ball is absolutely out of this world, and some of the passes he plays into his teammates are just sublime. It’s fair to say any game will be much tougher without his qualities.
