Well, it looks as though Manchester United are getting worse, not better, under Jose Mourinho’s guidance.
The self-proclaimed Special One just doesn’t seem to have a vision, a plan, an ideology. The football is dull and unimaginative which is all well and good when United are winning. When you’re losing, though, it’s highlighted more. In truth, we never looked like scoring a winner, against relegation fodder. It’s just embarrassing.
He’s been in charge for two-and-a-half years now. What’s improved? You look at the signings, Zlatan Ibrahimovic aside, how many have been good enough? Why would the club want to give this man more money to spend? Let’s be honest, he can’t be trusted in that regard.
Over the last few months, I’ve found myself defending Mourinho because there doesn’t seem to be an adequate replacement available. Right now though, I’m just sick of the football and I feel we need a fresh set of ideas and tactics to get us back on the right track.
As you’d imagine, fan furore was at an all-time high on social media tonight. The supporters have a right to demand fast, free-flowing football. In this day and age, we’re being left behind by the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City and it’s just embarrassing.
Jose Mourinho has made United into one of the disjointed, abject teams in the Premier League. You’d not put significant money on us beating anyone. He’s Chelsea’d us.

At a football club Mourinho would be gone, at a business he stays until it’s cheapest to sack him. So he stays

Jose Mourinho's signings at Man Utd:
Zlatan (left)
Mkhi (left)
Pogba (inconsistent)
Lukaku (flop)
Matic (flop)
Bailly (bench)
Lindelöf (improving)
Sanchez (flop)
Fred (bench)
Dalot (…)Jose wasted a lot of money and he didn't make us a better team. #MourinhoOut #MUFC

Does Mourinho actually have a plan or vision? Or is he just trying to survive each week?

Mourinho’s negative comments, criticism of players, and bizarre team selection, suggest to me that he’s lost interest in his job. It gives the impression that he’s almost asking to be sacked. Most of all though, despite what he says, it feels like a lack of respect to the badge.
