Manchester United need help in practically every position on the field. It’s up to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to work out the biggest areas of need as there is probably too much work to do in one transfer window.
For me, signing a right-winger is an absolute must. As anyone who has followed closely this summer, Jadon Sancho has been linked, while a deal for Daniel James is in place.
Today, a new name has been thrown into the ring and it’s an exciting one; Hirving Lozano.
The report comes from Italy’s CalicoNapoli24, translated by Sport Witness, who are claiming that ‘Chucky’, aged 23, has a €45million (£40m) offer on the table from Serie A giants Napoli – although the Naples side ‘don’t have the will of the player’ who believes a United offer will come his way ‘sooner or later’.
Lozano lit up the World Cup last summer with some superstar performances and it’s clear to me that a big-money move is just on the horizon.
The fact he’s ‘waiting’ for a United offer is interesting to me, as an Old Trafford switch must be an attractive proposition for him.
In today’s market, the aforementioned €45million (£40m) fee is relatively cheap for a player with Lozano’s ability. So for me it seems like a no-brainer, although the powers-that-be are probably feeling slightly reserved in regards to making a move as the last time they bought a PSV Eindhoven hot-shot things didn’t go according to plan…
