How Man United could line up with Aaron Wan-Bissaka next in 19/20 season

Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Manchester United is official. The right-back, aged just 21, becomes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s second summer signing behind Daniel James.

Signings is something that the Red Devils certainly need to press on with before the 19/20 season kicks off, but nonetheless, United are heading in the right direction and making good progress.

After our interview with Crystal Palace blog, The Eagles Beak, on Saturday, we’re continuing our Wan-Bissaka coverage by taking a look at how United could line up with their new man in the team.

Obviously, Wan-Bissaka will play in the right-back position. I’m presuming that as soon as he walks through the door, the 21-year-old will be United’s first-choice option in that area of the field.

Defensively, he’s a huge upgrade on what we already have as United look to improve on the 54 league goals conceded last season.

Wan-Bissaka’s standout trait is his brilliant tackling ability. It has been a while since I’ve seen a defender time the sliding tackle so perfectly. For me, that’s his best attribute.

Offensively, there is plenty to work on for Wan-Bissaka, although three assists from right-back slot in your debut season isn’t to be sniffed at. Heck, that’s probably better than all of United’s defenders managed last season. But, playing with better players around him, you’d imagine that tally will only go up.

Wan-Bissaka aside, United need to press on and get more bodies in. You look at the starting line-up above and James is only in there purely because of how terrible the Reds have been in that right-wing area. The midfield also needs a major rework.

It’s just good to have Wan-Bissaka signed and sealed, allowing Edward Woodward to turn his attentions elsewhere and hopefully, deliver Solskjaer one more signing before the squad jet out for pre-season tour in about one weeks’ time.
