Manchester United Football Club have been dealt another injury blow during the international break, with their luck seemingly out over the last few weeks. The German FA have confirmed that Bastian Schweinsteiger has picked up an injury concern, and will miss their game against Ireland tonight.
He has suffered an adductor muscle problem, and although there is no set timescale on how long he will be out for just yet, we should know in the not too distant future.
Hopefully it isn’t that serious and he can remain with the national side and play in their next game in a few days, rather than flying back to Manchester early and having to recover here.
Bastian Schweinsteiger has been one of the key figures for the club so far this season, bringing some much-needed calmness to the starting line-up, and if we lost him for a prolonged period of time then we’d certainly struggle.
