Manchester United came within minutes of losing one of their pivotal players over the summer, but dodgy internet eventually cost Real Madrid the signature of David de Gea, and if they still want him they’ll now have to pay top dollar as he has signed a new contract.
David de Gea would obviously have been disappointed, but has spoken to the media at his delight at the fans’ attitude about it all.
“I’m really happy now, at one of the biggest clubs in the world, where I feel loved by the fans.” David de Gea said. “Nobody let me down or disappointed me, these are things that happen. You must look forward, and I am very happy now.”
David de Gea’s attitude about the whole situation has been absolutely first class from minute one. Yes, everyone knows he wanted to move to Real Madrid, but for one reason or another it didn’t happen, but he has kept his head down and continued to work hard.
