‘I’m ready to go’ says reported Manchester United transfer target as summer window looms

Manchester United Football Club’s season is winding down to a close. The Red Devils and Jose Mourinho have had a mixed season. They’ve won a trophy and are in the final of another, whilst performing rather poorly in the bread and butter of the Premier League.

With that, inevitably we’ll see players exit through the Old Trafford doors, with others making their way into the Manchester United dressing room. One man who has been constantly linked with a move to the Theatre of Dreams is Antoine Griezmann, and that chatter just isn’t going away.

The 26-year-old Frenchman has been plying his trade in Spain over the last few years, and has become the figurehead for a very talented Atletico Madrid side. Now, the man himself has spoken, and boldly claimed that he is ready to leave his current club.

“Today, if I have to move, it will not be a problem for me,” Griezmann said, as per ESPN. “It may be England, which is in fashion, Germany, China or the United States, I’m ready to go.”

“I want to win titles.”

“We finished third in La Liga, it was the objective of the club, but we, the players, want more.”

“Winning titles is what I will look for this summer when deciding on my future.”

Like any top professional he wants to win trophies. Sadly for him, Simeone’s men haven’t been able to offer that this campaign, mainly due to the sheer dominance of Barcelona and Real Madrid.

A move away has always seemed likely, and personally, he is a player I’d love to see at Manchester United. I’m of the opinion that a lost resides on whether we can offer him Champions League football or not. Paying the transfer fee will never be a problem for Mourinho, and this just brings an added incentive for us to win the match against Ajax tomorrow evening.
